We recommend inquiring for availability at least 6 months in advance. Maile Cake Design (MCD) only accepts a limited number of projects to give each commission the attention to detail it deserves.
tasting + design consultation
MCD cakes are made from scratch using a variety of local, seasonal, and fresh ingredients, as well as sourced from abroad.
Tastings and consultations take place in our home studio in Utah County for a fee, and lasts approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. We recommend limiting to 2-3 persons to attend. Should you choose MCD to commission your cake, the fee goes towards your wedding cake.
MCD also offers online cake consultations and tasting boxes for pick-up at a predetermined time for clients planning abroad.
proposals + delivery
Within 1-2 weeks of designing your cake, several proposals of your cake design are sent to you and a contract is sent. Cake stands, knife and servers act as an extension of your cake design, and are sourced to be kept as a keepsake. Any adjustments should be made on or before 4 weeks of your event.
Our pricing is based on the number of servings and design of your cake.
We currently have a minimum of $800 for all orders unless otherwise stated.
Sheet cake is priced at $5.50 per serving. You can expect to pay between $9-22 per serving depending on your cake design.
Our standard delivery for Utah and SLC is $100. If your venue is out-of-state, please inquire for travel costs.

Studio Shots
I take studio-worthy photos of your cake before delivering so you can see it singularly, free of its busy surroundings, in natural light. Please feel free to request these complimentary photos at any point.
Anniversary Cakes
MCD hope to create a small token of your original cake to celebrate your anniversary(ies).
